Ugly, annoying, cliched. Never finished it. Upside: it has a pesky goblin god by the name of wahooka. Downside: everything else. Skip it.

Bards Tale 1-3
something called the Bards Tale Construction Set

They're classics and all that, but their technology is archaic, the interface simple, all the wall textures are virtually identical (meaning you're VERY likely to get lost unless you chart every move on graph paper,) and I don't remember them having any mind-blowing plot to make it all worth it. If you have the patience for ugly old games, you'd probably get more enjoyment out of nethack.

Ultimate Underworld 1 and 2

System Shock 1's predecessors. Not in plot, but in interface. Did you like SS1's interface? Me neither.

Dragonwars

Now this one is ugly and old and you need to read passages out of the book as you play, but it's got one of the more interesting plots I've seen in RPGs. I'd suggest you give it a try.

Wasteland

Fallout's supposed to be the spiritual sequel to this and everyone says it's the greatest old skool RPG of all time. Me, I never was much into the whole post-apocalypto genre so its brilliance is missing to my eyes.

Might and Magic: World of Xeen

Run around and kill monsters in various bright and colorful dungeons. These were the last two good might and magics rolled into one game. In my opinion, it's the gem of the set. I'm not promising Planescape, but an enjoyable few nights of an RPG that carefully straddles the line between oldskool CRPG complexity and console simplicity is yours for the taking.

Wizardry Gold

I remember having compatibility problems with this one so I wasn't able to play it very far. The main thing I remember is it having a shitload of race/class choices. Including furries, you sick fuck.
