Terms such as 'us' would need to be legally defined as Entropy Stew and I (Perry Abbott and Justin Sonnekalb, respectively) -, some of the protections SOE writes for itself in the above License Agreement would need content-nature-appropriate equivalents here (obviously some of the forum content is going to be obscene, rascist, etc. Also needed are the usual disclaimer of warranty, shield of parody/satire. Finally the usual 'can extend/update this contract as we desire' clause at the bottom God forbid something unseen pop up.

This license would be entirely about protection - protection of ES/myself from liability, and protection from the data being lost forever. Those of you currently posting can be pretty certain that the clause I quoted will appear in some form in whatever license agreement we end up using. We won't steal your rights to the post - you still own your content, it's just that ES and I have an everything-goes license to use that content however we wish which preserves Caltrops and any future incarnations.
