"earning" Arenas? by Lizard_King 08/02/2003, 12:34am PDT
Fuck that shit. Once I got to the second or third archery section, I stopped earning things and started cheating. This acquired me all arenas instantaneously. Unfortunately, they are pretty much indistinguishable. Also, I don't recommend avenging yourself on archers while invincible after having cheated. It STILL sucks.

Yeah, the bird was a complete breach of pacing, but for some reason, at least in the first few levels where they obviously gave it a lot of thought, it was kind of cool. It would have been exponentially more useful and fun if you could send him anywhere, or anywhere with a branch, and also cool if you could have used him as a distraction, splinter cell like. Instead, like the rest of the game, it just remained laden with potential.

But yeah. I guess it was worth the 15$ I paid for it. It was definitely better than its JungleBookesque descriptions intimated. Is there any chance of a sequel given the sleeper non-hit the original was?
