| I already heard a lot about strange creatures in the jungle, numbers showing up everywhere throughout every character's lives in the flashbacks, then they are on the mysterious hatch on the ground, and inside the hatch is a guy who has to insert these numbers into a computer before a timer runs out, every 108 minutes (which is what the numbers add up to, and apparently is the number of passengers on the plane).
So this second season starts off kind of interesting again, and then after a few episodes, half of each episode is a flashback to some character's life, which involves custody battles over kids, trying to get into prestegious schools but the parents are not being supportive and it invokes crying in some wimmin, and then trying to maintain a job. People theorize these flashbacks are about the problems the people on the island had in life and how they are now in purgatory or something in order to work these problems out. I'm sure someone came up with that desperately trying to rationalize the pointless melodrama that is crowbarred into the show to pad out the parts where they reveal more mystery. Unfortunately, when people aren't flashing back, they're having a personal crisis vaguely related to what they are having flashbacks about. At the end of episode 5, the teaser claims THERE'S ALWAYS ONE EPISODE OF LOST THAT PEOPLE WILL BE TALKING ABOUT FOR A LONG TIME, AND NEXT WEEK IS IT, AND ONE OF THE PEOPLE ON THE SHOW WILL DIE, and they show I think the rocker dude falling over because he's dehydrated. Sadly I had already watched episode 6 since it finished downloading before episode 5. It was just a bunch of boring ass flashbacks, and the chick doing most of the flashing back sees the ghost of the black dude's mysterious kidnapped son, so she runs through the jungle trying to look for him as if. Her new Iraqi dude boyfriend chases her around, and she's crying while running (face first into trees) because she's afraid that he doesn't believe her, AND SHE NEEDS HIM TO BELIEVE IN HER HLULBLUBLU. She runs right into some other missing dudes from the show coming the other way with other more missing plane crash survivors, one being the hot Spanish chick from Girl Fight and Resident Evil, who shoots her. Then at the end, whatever dink made this video didn't include the next episode teaser, so I can't even be teased into being interested in the next episode. Arrested Development I'd catch on TV, it should live and not be cancelled (even though it already has been). Lost I will just download, and it should probably just be cancelled and go straight to DVD. :( Here's a bonus flashback episode synposis for maximum dumb: The Korean lady loses her wedding ring, after her husband went on a raft last season to try to escape, it was blown up, and a few guys washed back to the island to end up with people from the rear half of the plane which broke off, and due to mysterious circumstances they survived but some even more mysterious people have been hunting them and it's possible that they've been either killing them or somehow converting them and have done the same with the black guy's son, but that is the vaguely interesting part. The episode is actually about the flashbacks the Korean lady has about her husband having a tough time trying to get a job at a 5 star hotel in Korea (South Korea I assume) because he is not from the city and he knows how to fish (THAT'S BAD), but he gets the job anyway and is told to never let in anyone like HIMSELF (SIDEWAYS RACISM?), and so the wife is courted in some arrainged marriage with some bald dude who may or may not be a jerk I dunno I sort of scanned over this part of the show because it sure went on and on, and then the Korean guy who's working as a doorman has some poorer not fancy guy with his kid want in to use the bathroom because the kid really has to go, so the dude lets them in and suddenly the hotel manager is all over him like THIS IS YOUR FIRST WARNING YOU CANNOT DO THIS RUR and so Korean dude quits right there. Then he and the woman who becomes his wife meet and fall in love after all this boring stuff. Then, back on the island, the woman finds her wedding ring in the sand while talking with some other chick about something probably boring, but then they're all happy. So half the episode was about this guy becoming a doorman and then not working there anymore because he let in a poor kid to use the bathroom. This is decidedly not mysterious. In fact, it's unbelievably stupid and boring. |
