No one doubt my capabilities by Quétinbec 06/17/2008, 2:38am PDT My lack of success here has had huge affect on my standing with people! I’d lie about my shitty situation if I didn’t need to arouse the pity of people in order to receive their loans and donations. I’ve applied for 30+ banking jobs and only been interviewed for one! Racism, WE WILL ALL ASSUME. Twice I’ve heard Australians tell English people to “Fuck off home.” Once reminding them that they “grew here” while you (as an Englishman) “flew here”. One English guy who’d only been in the country a couple of weeks told me he couldn’t believe it. He said it was the kind of treatment reserved for the ‘Pakis’ ‘back home’. No one but some Europeans has the right to look down on an Englishman AS A STRANGER. Australians and their bullshit are fucking with the order of things. It's true that, by and large, a New Zealander, FOR INSTANCE!, is inferior to an Australian but not to so great an extent! I feel far too marginalized here! Also, fuck them for other reasons too! I gave up a lot to be here because the pay is better and the people seemed more interesting. How’s this for interesting: I was told by a bouncer that if I wanted to get into a club, I’d have to zip my jacket up to the neck to hide the dress shirt I was wearing… because… it was against the club’s dress code TO WEAR A SHIRT!!! A SHIRT!!! How's THAT for a fucking joke?
