It takes a certain savvy to go from Indian poverty to CEO and turn a snotty Silicon Valley offer into power. I get the sense Sundar is a lot more aware and critical of the dynamics at Google than he lets on.
Yeah, he's a shark. No way he just happens to end up the face of the company.


He hasn't shown much teeth while the money has been flowing and Social Justice gripped the campus. Ad revenue is going to drop hard, the feds are going after them, and employees are going to be working from home a lot. It's a favorable time to start cutting back some of the worst excesses of company culture. We'll see what he does or who he hires to do it for him.
