I agree with myself that B+ is the right rating, although being a fan of the source material and just being happy that it exists and was done so well, personally I'll count it among my "faves", but objectively, B+.

There is still the issue of the middle part of the movie missing. You forget just how fast we go from Clark enlisting the kids' help, introducing them to that wall, and then everyone being dead and Clark set up shop in his little Backrooms house.

There is the issue of the dead-eyed psychologist who fulfills her purpose, and her flimsy backstory does just enough to link the movie's themes together, but ultimately she's almost as much of a "still life" as the guy with six eyeballs whose gut is made of cotton candy.

There is the issue (and this is also a flaw in Kane's Youtubes) that "WHAT THE FUCK?!" is all side characters are ever able to say. Even the ASYNC guys say it. They sound like bratty kids instead of professional scientific investigators.

There are issues. But all minor, and do not detract from my enjoyment. Like I said before, good job Kane.

The main guy is the only really good actor in the movie, but he's SO goddamn good that he carries it easily. Good job, Chiwi.. Cheliw... Good job Celhiw...
