I agree. This article on TV Tropes, The Problem With Licensed Games, points out that most licensed games, to put it bluntly, suck! Since they paid a fortune for the license they don't want to spend any money to create the game. I suspect that if they thought they could get away with it they'd release "Hello World" as a "licensed game".
