I think it kind of appeals to 2 demographics, gamer dads and alpha nerds by WITTGENSTEIN 01/10/2014, 8:01pm PST Gamer dads because most of the boring shit (grinding) can be done while not physically present at the computer (also, now with PLEX the only grindy bit of the game, ISK, can now be purchased for cash). Also crazy shit that demands you sit in a chair for 10-12 hours only happens every now and then so it's like a camping trip or fishing with your old college buddies. Then the other 95% of the time you barely play it. Alpha nerds because it vindicates their lifestyle of shitsocking and spending all their time on TS/messengers.
