The prices have skyrocketed way past inflation rates or other food prices. To the point where you could just get "real" food for the same amount of money. They're also not faster than most real food lunch places.
They don't even offer wages to local workers anymore since they're replacing all the humans with touch screens (POWERED BY A.I.!!!!!) so I have to order myself. I'm sure they're passing all those savings onto the customer hahahshaha, $8 burger fuck you.
We'd go to Wendy's twice a year as kids, it felt special. They are fucking kidding themselves if they think I'm driving over there at lunch time to pay more for one of their garbage burgers fueled only by nostalgia or thinking "hmmm, I'll just get lunch at three!!!!!" What a dumb asshole in charge over there to even come up with such a thing.
In Colorado I do see signs where they are offering employees $22 an hour to start, but I would imagine that is different all over the country. I'll give them credit for that if it is is legit, I guess.
