Remember when EVERYONE ON EARTH learned what "cookies" were in the goddamned 1990s? Why then, in the 2020s, did all websites suddenly start yelling at you with half-page popups to accept cookies? WE USE COOKIES IS THAT OK? Yes, it's always been ok (or not for security nerds). Something about Google deciding, for everyone because they own the internet now, that this is a thing that should happen. Great. |
