The things that a baton has going for it is that they are cheap ($68 for 26") and (I'm guessing) they don't take an inordinate amount of skill or training to operate. (As opposed to a sword or something.) But for all I know they are ridiculed as a personal defense weapon by those with their asses in the know. I'm curious as to what the bunch of you think.
