The thing I've noticed about this site is that while a shitty or stupid post will get ten people with twenty nicks a piece ripping the fuck out of it, the reasonable ones get tend to get "ignored." Well, I didn't ignore your post, I just agreed with it. The entire thread then became sko Scooby and Shaggy unmasking the real BDR thing. Anyway, to what you said:



1. A self-imposed restriction of SB posting as an admin. ES is the only mouthpiece for the site. This will no doubt fail, which is why SB shouldn't be an admin.

I hate to fuckin' say it, but I agree. SB is a magnet for an endless number of shits who delight in railing on him, but how this thread devolved kind of shows your point. Though, I would have banned someone who asked to get banned, deleted the porn and stopped Jared S_Fogel from spamming just like he did.


2. Navel-gazing discussions and repetitive arguments over this site's function should be eliminated, at least the ones pertaining to enforcement of our rules, the rules every other above-board website has.

3. The rules need to be posted CONSPICUOUSLY.

4. If we are going to continue as a user-submitted review site, a conspicuous declaration that clearly states that a writer's submitted works, when submitted and posted by caltrops, become the sole property of caltrops and may be put or taken down at our behest. If this isn't legally possible, then a user-submited site is a stupid fucking idea in the first place.

I was under the impression that such a thing was implied, but sure. If somebody's going to pony up a review for the site, later whining how they are going to take their ball and go home is fucking weak. Course, I've got my own interests in mind, as I don't want to bother with formatting and gathering screens for a review that is going to come off the first time the reviewer gets called a cunt.

5. Fix our forum titles so they make some fucking sense. Har har, Operation:Hammer Time. How about we keep TEH FUNAY in our content and inside the forums where they belong?

The forum titles as they are right now don't bother me. There's two pages of war threads sitting in O:HT, after all. But if your main point is that future titles need to be more descriptive than funny, then sure.

And then, what was INC's -- don't link the site until we're sure we're ready to handle the onslaught of mm-boppers or whatever. Yeah, fine, though I don't know when you go and define when "ready" is. Stew put in some safeguards, there were still some exploitations, he has added or will add more fixes. There being a learning process to the custom software that he wrote by hand is no big deal.
