Maybe this is a weird and foolish thing to think, but my suspicion is that fresh blood will come in for *content*, and not because they heard that this forum is relaxing, inviting, and intuitive. If I was a brand-newbie, I wouldn't be put off by the forum titles. I'd be put off, well... by us. We're not exactly nice people, you know? Changing the forum titles won't stop us from posting in them, and we're assholes.



Rather than listing reasons why the forum titles should stay the same, I think the better question is are they really THAT hillarious that keeping them up is even an issue? Does anything still giggle at their cleverness every time the forum index loads? It's an inside joke carried over from OMM that stopped being amusing even back then.
