If in fact my points are so tiresome, then stop pretending to address them. You're not doing me any favours. I think some repetition is preferable to your tactic of continually changing the subject to better suit your moods.
1. What bothers me about your "constitutional" objections is not the use of them in and of itself, but rather your obvious manipulation of them to suit your agenda. There is absolutely no reasonable grounds to view constitutional erosion as a fundamentally GOP plan of action, irrespective of the current situation. Such a view ignores that such erosion goes back far longer, and has much more to do with big government oriented central planning, of which you are no doubt a devotee as a lackey of the Democratic party. Either way, what is going on domestically in the United States has the Patriot Act as a symptom, not a cause; such tendencies come from the injection of the big government agenda at every level of society, from public school indoctrination to the glorification of central planning by leftists like yourself. Give up your dreams of coercing economic mediocrity across the US first, and then we can begin to worry about more theoretical issues like the role of privacy in our constitution.
2. I am glad you see regime change in the middle east as a viable plan. I think you mistake the difficulty of pulling it off for significant flaws in the current administration's plan; either way, it is far closer to the goal than Clinton's style of diplomatic appeasement was ever going to get us. Either way, I don't see you or any one else stepping up with a better means of doing it, so I am willing to support the status quo until events prove it wrong. |
